Traveling with kids
It cannot be avoided that there are times when a young family has to bring small children with them when they travel.
I’m sure a lot of parents can relate to this, especially when a trip is really needed, e.g. during important events and occasions, and the kids have to tag along.
Thus, parents have to prepare the kids for travel, visit a doctor to check if the little ones are healthy and fit for an upcoming trip.
It’s also good to read up on health facts especially about kids and learn more about how to handle kids when they experience some expected discomforts during the trip such as air sickness or tiredness. Being knowledgeable about one’s health condition for travel is as important as preparing for the basic trip essentials.
There’s a too often forgotten step in preparing to travel with kids, and its the fact that you have to prepare your kid’s perspective on the trip. Talking seriously about what to expect will help lessen the fuss and hopefully, do away with the tantrums, don’t you think?
Hi Rich, yup you’re right… it’s important especially for kids who will be traveling for the first time. I remember when we flew from Bacolod to Cebu, the kid in the rear seat was so noisy, he was crying loudly that he wanted to go home, he was so afraid he’d fall from the plane.
