The Dipping Pool at Mambukal Mountain Resort
One of the activities we enjoyed most during our overnight stay at Mambukal Mountain Resort was using the dipping pool. We were given complimentary entrance tickets to use the dipping pool for two days as the resort staff was not able to give us senior citizen discounts for our cottage accommodation. Mom inquired about the discount after the staff already issued our receipt. But it was such a blessing in disguise, since we didn’t really include the dipping pool in our schedule for that evening.
Thus, after dinner off we went to the pool located beside the entrance to the seven waterfalls. At first, I was hesitant to dip. I tried to scoop some water from the steaming pool with my hands and felt it was too hot.
One of the guys already immersed inside the pool gave us some tips. Don’t dip your whole body at once as the pool’s temperature could be too much for you to handle. Dip your feet first, then after few minutes you can slowly go down the steps until your body has adjusted to the heat. After about 30 minutes, I was already in the center of the pool and it was such a relaxing and soothing experience for me.
For those who will be visiting Mambukal Mountain Resort, the dipping pool experience is highly recommended. You can come in shirt and shorts, or any comfortable attire, it doesn’t matter as the resort doesn’t require you to wear swimsuit at the dipping pool.
Dipping Pool rules:
1. Use of this dipping pool while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs or medicines may lead to serious consequences and is not recommended.
2. Observe a reasonable time limit, then shower, and cool down, if you wish to return for another brief stay. Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness or fainting.
3. Shower before entering the dipping pool.
4. No food or drink in the dipping pool or on deck.
5. No diving.
6. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
7. Pregnant women, elderly persons, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure should not enter the dipping pool without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
8. All persons using the dipping pool do so at their own risk. Owners and management are not responsible for accidents or injuries.
Dipping Pool is not available every Tuesday (maintenance day).
Dipping Pool entrance fee:
Adults = Php50
Children = Php20
While the other resort activities at Mambukal are usually associated with adventure and are physically strenuous such as the challenging hike to the seven waterfalls or the slide for life, the dipping pool experience is a striking contrast. The warmth of the pool is a great stress-reliever, and the poolside is a great place to sit by and engage in conversation while having your feet dipped. While I was immersed in the pool, it was as if Mother Nature was comforting me and soothing my tired senses. What a relaxing nature’s treat indeed!
