Sunglasses for outdoor recreation and sports
It’s summertime again and with the sun’s heat becoming our companion during outdoor activities, one can’t help but put on his/her pair of shades.
When it comes to sports and recreation though, there are specific combination of frames and lenses that are highly recommended to achieve the best comfort and vision while being stylish and fashionable as well. For instance, it’s best to use non-polarized brown lenses for sports involving a ball, such as golf, volleyball, football and tennis. Don’t use grey polarized lenses as they are too dark for the eyes, thus you can’t accurately focus on the ball.
More specific sport sunglasses which are also fashionable eyewear, can be browsed over at Optics Planet, such as:
Golf sunglasses – some manufacturers such as Bolle make golf sunglasses with high contrast lens ideal for this kind of sport.
Tennis sunglasses – the lens is designed to enable the eyes to easily see the yellow tennis ball faster.
Volleyball and Softball sunglasses – using nylon frame, these sunglasses come with high contrast lenses which are great for cloudy days, while brown lenses with mirror coating are best for sunny days.
Cycling and Biking sunglasses – lenses should be high contrasting, anti-glare and allowing more light transmission. Interchangeable lenses are best to provide the best vision in varied weather and light conditions.
Other sport specific sunglasses for fishing, boating, shooting, motorcycle, driving, running and other outdoor activities are available at Optics Planet. Just going over their new fashionable sunglasses makes me think of replacing my Revlon shades which really let me down, its protective filter peeled off resulting to a blurry lens. I like the flexibility of the Serengeti Vedi Sunglasses (photo shown above) which can be fully adjusted to prevent headaches and eyestrain. It looks stylish as well and is currently on sale.
“Great post! Crikvenica sounds like an amazing destination for a family vacation. I’d love to hear more about the activities…
