On travel, shopping and fashion
Aside from souvenir T-shirts, refrigerator magnets, shot glasses and handcrafted items, tourists also shop for clothes, shoes and bags when they travel. Fashion-minded travel bugs are fond of dropping by those high-fashion boutiques when on tour, stepping inside different shops and finding new styles and accessories to add to their wardrobe. Here in Finland, we were able to pass by some notable classy boutiques along downtown Helsinki.
With the ongoing Pori Jazz Festival, most shops are on sale with big discounts even up to 70%. There’s the ‘buy two take one’, the ‘buy three get one for free’ and other enticing promos. Luckily big sis and I were able to do some shopping as well. Recently, we found some ‘treasures’ of clothes at a nearby department store and we bought them at really reasonable price.
For those who would like to stay at home and shop online for designer dresses, they can check out ChickDowntown.com, where fashionable clothes such as Betsey Johnson Dresses are available. They have a wide range of items categorized into designers, clothing, denim, accessories, shoes, bags. Visit their ‘just arrived’ section for their latest supplies, or you can check out discounted items on sale. Travel bugs can find their favorite attire here for a night out or dinner, or stylish clothes for strolling around downtown.
Speaking of fashion, I noticed that most ladies here would wear dark leggings or skinny jeans worn over with tunic shirts or blouses. While some are comfortable enough to don their sleeveless shirts and shorts at 18 degrees Celsius, most ladies would wear shirts and blouses with their jackets and jeans while the footwear would range from high-heeled boots to flat ballerinas, sandals, comfy crocs and flip-flops.
