My Manila-Prague trip
Over all, my trip from Manila to Prague was just ‘perfect’ and I am thankful for the little things that made it such a breeze.
The night before my flight, I was still busy trying to organize my luggage and bags while chatting with my cutie sis in Prague and finalizing things. With just few hours of sleep, I woke up drowsy and tired, feeling so tense and excited at the same time. After a quick breakfast, securing my techie bro’s condo (tidying up the place and turning off the main power switch) and getting everything ready, my companion and I waited at the lobby for a taxi to pick us up. I was a bit worried that I would be late for the 10:45am flight.
These are just some of the little things during my trip that I am thankful for:
- I checked in a medium-sized suitcase with trolley and a big duffle bag which registered 20.9 kilograms on the scale. It was just fine with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ 20 kilograms baggage allowance.
- KLM had many check-in counters and there were no long queues so I was able to get my boarding pass quickly.
- The Immigration Officer didn’t even bother asking me questions. She just stamped the departure date after examining my passport.
- The flight from Manila to Amsterdam went on as scheduled with no delays. The plane ride was fine except for few seconds of turbulence.
- At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, I managed to find my way to the correct boarding gate for my flight to Prague. I got easily through Passport Control with just few questions from the Immigration Officer.
- The flight from Amsterdam to Prague arrived earlier than expected.
When I went out the exit doors at the Ruzyne International Airport in Prague, I was just so glad to see my cutie sis and her hubby, mom and my little niece baby C waiting for me nearby. The cool weather which greeted me was such a nice welcome from the hot tropics where I came from. The sky was still bright even at 9pm and I was just enjoying the view outside the car window, observing the buildings and streets, as we were cruising through Prague’s highway. Whew, it’s good to be finally here.
