Laptop travel accessories

With the rainy and slightly stormy weather these days, most flights were delayed much to the disappointment of passengers wanting to go home immediately. Just this week, both my flights to and from Manila were delayed for an hour. This left me with no choice but to open my laptop and do something worthwhile during the wait. One of my concerns was the unavailability of WiFi access in both domestic airports (the new Bacolod-Silay airport and the old Manila domestic terminal). Good thing I brought my SmartBro prepaid WiFi kit with me so I was able to surf the Internet a bit.

Using the laptop in public places usually brings some conveniences (like chasing away the boredom) and inconveniences too such as the many distractions or people looking over your shoulder while you surf on private information. I’ve browsed on some recommendations regarding laptop accessories for travel bugs from the Technology Channel at Business.com. My favorites are the Bose noise canceling headphones which would be very effective for a noise-free airplane ride while listening to your fave music or watching DVDs. Some tips include requesting for a seat (when making a travel reservation) beside a power outlet for charging your laptop battery and buying a laptop screen that ensures your private information won’t be read by people behind you. Other must-haves include a laptop carrying case, back-up batteries and some entertainment tools to keep you up during the flight.
