Jamaica cruise vacation
How would you like to go on a Jamaica cruise vacation? Being a top tourist destination in the West Indies, Jamaica has a lot to offer to its visitors – exotic cuisines, extensive range of music collection and especially its beautiful beaches. Those who have gone on a Jamaican holiday cruise would highly recommend to you its beaches. Most of the tourists going there enjoy the beaches in Jamaica along with its other attractions.
Although soaking in the clear waters while enjoying the breathtaking sands of these beaches is the usual activity for tourists, there are many other fun water activities to do. Most organized cruises for the family include sailing activities for their guests. The calm waves in the place are one of the many reasons why foreign guests, as well as the locals, go on sailing trips. The water temperature, being always lukewarm, makes swimming in the beaches an enjoyable activity for all.
Major beaches in Jamaica
Popular beaches not to miss include the Montego Bay, the Negril, and the Ocho Rios, which are the three major, as well as, beautiful beaches in Jamaica.
A visit to Negril is highly suggested, particularly for those who are interested in sailing. Its location is about 50 miles to the west of Montego Bay, an ideal beach haven for all types of water sports and other water activities.
One of the most visited spots in Jamaica is Ocho Rios, known for its Blue Mountains, abundant in several assortments of flora and fauna. Tourists who prefer a more vibrant and commercialized ambiance with available amenities nearby can readily choose this place.
Three popular beaches are found in the Montego Bay – the Doctor’s Cave Beach, the Cornwall Beach and the Walter Fletcher Beach. These beaches offer white sand and calm waves, making them such ideal locations for swimming and sailing.
Things to consider
Should you decide to have a Jamaican cruise vacation, it’s important to consider some trip essentials to guarantee a successful and hassle-free travel:
- Decide to have your vacation within the ideal cruise holiday months from January to March to avoid the cyclone season from July to November.
- Choose the type of ship that will provide for your lifestyle needs and preferences especially if you have kids.
- Do consider legalities such as travel documents, customs inspection and your period of stay.
Wow Jamaica would be a nice place to visit. The beaches is fine plus I heard there are a lot of outdoor adventures in Jamaica.
It would be interesting to try their local cuisines. Also, Jamaica is the birthplace of reggae music (though I’m not much of a reggae fan) so, maybe watch some local bands performing would be a must for tourists.
The beach looked really good. Someday, I know I will go there myself to see how beautiful it is.
Yes, if you’re really into travel, you’ll find a way to go there.
Everybody loves to travel but the problem is money.Jamaica is one of my favorite destination.
I know at least two persons who are not interested to travel, despite given the opportunity many times for an all-expense paid trip. I thought so before that travel comes as an exciting activity for all, but I realized that there are those who prefer to stay at home and be contented with just seeing familiar sights within their city.
Jamaica doesn’t usually top the list when people go on vacation, or is it just me who thinks like that? I bet it’s a beautiful country too but I would prefer to travel around the Philippines first before going to different countries. Love your own ang drama ko. 🙂
Yup, I can very well relate to your sentiments about getting around our country first before going to other parts of the world. Our kababayans should prioritize Palawan or Boracay first before going to Europe or Japan! 🙂 Personally, the ideal setup for me would be to do it side by side, travel within the country and travel abroad. Now that’s if the budget allows.
Having been to other countries, the travel experience abroad was an eye-opener. I learned more about other cultures, not just the place, but more so the people.
I love what our country has to offer in terms of tourism. But I learned to appreciate our country’s tourist destinations and the warmth of its people so much more after my trips abroad.
How I wish to travel the world including the beaches of Jamaica! Great reviews!
Yes, it would be great to visit other beaches around the world. 🙂
