Getting fit for travel
So you’ve prepared the necessary travel documents, carefully planned your trip itinerary and even made a list of things to pack up, but how about checking with your doc or undergoing a physical lab test? For those who are still young and physically active, the issue of being healthy enough to travel may not be a concern. But for those who are undergoing medication or the elderly, it’s best to have a date with the doc to ensure you are physically fit for the trip.
For instance, my parents went to their respective doctors and underwent laboratory tests before our recent vacation. They also brought with them enough supply of their maintenance medicines. Being healthy and fit for travel means you’re active enough to endure long hours of walking tours, climbing up buildings or towers, hiking along the woods or even few hours of shopping for souvenirs.
Before the trip, it’s also good to read up on diet and health literature such as some informative articles from Lab88.com, an online resource for safe diet pills and other health products. Sigh, I could have done some research about proper diet before my vacation. Now I have gained weight after almost 3 months of my stay in Europe. I should have maintained a healthy diet while on vacation and avoid overindulgence with the local dishes and delicacies.
