Florida vacation homes

Acknowledged as the ‘Sunshine State’ in the US for having a subtropical climate, Florida is a popular haven for tourists from colder places during the winter season. Aside from its beaches, this state is also best known for its famous theme parks particularly Disney World and the Universal Studios.

If you’re traveling to Florida for a holiday and would like to have a ‘home away from home’ ambiance, it’s good to consider vacation rentals for your accommodation. Vacation rentals by owner are usually less expensive since you deal with the owner directly. Vacation homes are usually well-kept and maintained and got all your favorite kitchen and dining appliances and utensils, from microwave oven to dishwasher and even a blender!

Families looking for Florida rentals can browse for a lot of properties offered online such as a four-bedroom French villa in Clermont with easy access to shopping, dining, and recreation activities. Within the property is a pool, a playground and park, basketball and tennis courts. Few miles away are hiking, golf, fishing, horseback riding and more outdoor activities to be enjoyed.

For golf enthusiasts, there’s a Naples Florida vacation condo rental where they can enjoy a scenic view of the fairway and the lake from their rooms. Most properties featured for vacation home rentals are complete with description such as the number of bedrooms and allowed guests, rental rates and availability, with a photo gallery, list of available appliances, nearby outdoor activities including rental policies and other important rental information.

This is the first time I hear about Vacation home. I’m planning to by a Timeshare in Florida. Do you think it is a good idea to get a timeshare place or rent Vacation home?

    thanks,

Hello! That’s a good question… a timeshare property is something you own (though shared with other owners) so it’s an investment on your part (which is good) and you can exchange your vacation with other resorts, give your usage time as a gift or even sell it in the future, while a vacation home is just a property you’re renting, which means you don’t have ownership rights to it. A timeshare property can also be rented out as a vacation home should the owner decide to put up his own rental program.

Which one works best for you? It actually depends on your available finances and preferences. For instance, with a timeshare property, the initial investment is considerably huge. If one doesn’t have the resources for this, renting a vacation home for an immediate holiday is a good option.

    Thanks for dropping by! 🙂

There are so many places where you can find your vacation rental home. But always when you rent from the owner, make sure it is real. Vacation rentals by owner (VRBO) is a great way to save money and stay in great conditions. However, to avoid renting from someone who doesn’t exist do this – never ever take western union or money gram. Talk to your owner on the phone! Ask all the questions you wonder about. Something like – is this condo really right on the beach – will save you from discovering it was a block away (steps to the beach).
And yes – ones in Florida, come to Keys – this is one of the best (and most affordable) places to snorkel and dive.

For nature and wildlife lovers, if I may add, if in Miami, a visit to Everglades National Park would be great too. It is a great place to observe unique flora and fauna and it is so rich with wildlife.

I think that if you can’t quite afford a vacation home or you think the climate is too volatile then timeshare is the ideal option.

I love nature and wildlife…I bet that national park is a must-visit in Miami especially if recommended by you. 🙂

We’re discussing about renting a vacation home, not owning a vacation home (sorry for confusing you on that)… yup, timeshare could be a good option than owning a vacation home…or it really depends on the property you’re buying.

My dad is constantly talking about buying a Florida vacation home. He likes the Punta Gorda area (I do too) so maybe one day….

Having worked for a well known timeshare exchange company some years ago, we wanted a timeshare. But going to a couple well known hotel chain time share sales pitches put us off. Good luck with whatever you do.

The LEGOLAND Florida amusement park located in Winter Haven, FL will start building an official LEGOLAND Florida Hotel just as the one in California but with 5 levels and with 150 rooms in 2015.
