Bacolod City Government Center
The launching of the Masskara Festival 2010 was just concluded when we dropped by the Bacolod City Government Center from our day trip to Mambukal Resort in Murcia. The sky was already getting darker but this didn’t keep the people who attended the affair from going home as they stayed behind, sat by the benches or strolled by the fountain which provided a scenic attraction to all amidst a blaring music in the background.
The Government Center is along the circumferential road and just few minutes’ drive from Lopue’s East department store. The place, with its extensive front lawn and huge fountain, provide a spacious setting for those who would like to hang out and relax with friends on a late afternoon.
The Bacolod City Government Center is designed by Architect Orlando M. Mateo and is one of the famous landmarks in the city. It’s a must-visit place for tourists and if you’re new to the city, don’t forget to have your photo taken in front of the building to prove to your friends that you’ve been to Bacolod. 😉
