Important reminder!

For the whole trip, you have to include budget for the inter-island vessel or barge where the buses are loaded for sea travel between Negros and Cebu islands. The tickets cost about Php200 to Php300, depending on your chosen seat area. There’s also a terminal fee (about Php10) at the port of departure.

For the budget traveler, he can also consider taking the plane instead. Compared to bus trips, which cost about Php500 plus budget for food, etc., a plane trip booked months ahead might come out cheaper. I usually equate time with money, and the travel time for the bus trip from Cebu to Bacolod or Bacolod to Cebu could take about half a day (or even more) than the few minutes ride on a plane. It’s best to compare all the trip expenses for both options though. For instance, one has to consider the Php200 terminal fee at the airport.

Yes, it’s my favorite route as well. I hope the government would develop Don Salvador Benedicto into another tourist destination in Negros, and not just as a municipality providing a short cut route for a trip to the San Carlos port.

I will be going to Palawan this Oct via Cebu fom Bacolod. Thanks for info. Big help. Now, I need transpo info options from Cebu Ceres Terminal to Mactan Airport. Anyone knows? Thanks. I am excited for my upcoming trip. I agree, Don Salvador is a great place. Very scenic and I love the air. I usually take this route everytime I go home to Dumaguete. Though it is longer and expensive fare-wise but it is worth it. No regrets…I look forward for any info about Cebu Ceres Terminal to Mactan Airport transpo option. Live life!

Hello Jen, what do you mean by the term “collect”? Pls clarify. To be sure of delivery fees via Ceres, better pay at their admin office and make sure to get a receipt with the airway bill number which is used to track your package to your recipient.
