A taste of Mexico in Atlanta

Visiting a new destination does not always equate to sightseeing, touring points of interests, or dropping by historical landmarks. A true-blue traveler always looks forward to experiencing, and tasting, the local cuisines and delicacies of a new place. And oftentimes, one is transported back to a visited place by simply enjoying a taste of their famous cuisines, served either as a homecooked meal or a dish authentically prepared in a restaurant.

For instance, whenever I miss my student days in Thailand, I just whip up a homemade Tom Yum soup or get a pack of spicy Thai noodles from the cupboard. Indulging myself in these Thai delicacies is my own way of connecting to those days when I was still based in Thailand. I also have some cocoa packs from Europe sent by my sis, and everytime I sip a cup of my hot choco, I am transported to our fun family vacation in Finland and Czech Republic. I also know of somebody who has worked and stayed in Japan for few years, he’s been craving for Japanese food since then, particularly the reddish raw meat (sashimi) and raw seafood (sushi).

It’s also great to have a trip down memory lane by dining at authentic restaurants that specialize on the food you crave, e.g. Thai, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Indian and other international cuisines. In Atlanta, one can have a taste of Mexico, in a fun and unique way, at Twisted Taco. As one of those Atlanta Mexican Restaurants, with an increasing number of franchises, fans of Tex-Mex Cuisine can enjoy a great meal here.
