South Sea Resort Hotel in Bantayan, Dumaguete City
A recommendation from a friend took us to South Sea Resort Hotel, located in Bantayan, Dumaguete City. We had a hard time looking for the place, and got lost along the way. One has to go through a maze of residential houses to finally get there. There are road signs as you go nearer the resort but they were not that conspicuous and are too small to be read by motorists. Finally, we found the place and I noticed that it was a bit quiet with only us as visitors, maybe because it was a Monday afternoon when most of the folks are busy at work.
We immediately looked for their restaurant and the staff directed us to the Poolside Pavilion. We ordered meals that we think would need less cooking time as we were already hungry. Thankfully, it was worth the wait as the mixed veggies and the South Sea fried chicken we ordered was yummy.

The table is set… now, where’s the food?

After lunch, we went around the place observing the location of the rooms and suites. When choosing a room, it really depends on what view you want to see, they have rooms fronting the pool and those facing the sea. We were in a hurry that time so we were not able to take a peek inside the rooms which have their own front porches protected with mosquito screens.
Tropical ambiance
This is one of the relaxing scenes from the resort’s pavilion.
A closer view of the boat and the nearby island, not sure if it’s Cebu or Siquijor though.
One of the buildings in the resort… maybe the conference hall?

This is a really nice resort. One thing that really caught my eye is the Poolside Pavillion, am pretty sure it look gorgeous at night time, very romantic. Based on the great picture you took, it’s not a bad place to get away from city life and catch some much needed R&R over the weekend. Great post! Thanks!
