Perhaps you are one of those wine lovers? You just love the taste of wine and can’t eat a dish without sipping a glass or two. When I traveled to Europe, I noticed how they love to accompany their meals with wine. Well, I’m not very particular when it comes to wine and taste. But if you ask me I can settle for a red wine for anything. :-)

At any rate, let me check your preference when it comes to wine. What wine do you think goes with a fish dish? Will it be a white wine or a red wine? What about for spicy food, what should be the best pair? Will your choice be a white wine or chardonnay? I think it really depends on your taste buds. Usually white wine is good for fish or some might prefer it with spicy food. Continue reading »

I have been reading in the news about this year’s business process outsourcing (BPO)trade show. It’s the 2008 E-Services Global Sourcing Conference and Exhibition recently held at SMX Convention Center, Philippines last Feb. 11-12 participated by over 100 exhibitors. During this e-Services conference, fifteen regional information and communications technology hubs were being promoted as potential areas for offshore outsourcing services giving offshore outsourcers a wider choice of location, not just Metro Manila. These 15 regional hubs will have their own trade show displays, the cost of which is said to be subsidized by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

I haven’t visited this E-services exhibition. But I’m assuming that some of the trade show booths were built using the portable collapsible or compact modular truss that can be easily set up without tools. Or they have one of those telescoping banner stands that can be used as a single or double sided unit, and with the horizontal and vertical telescopic poles that allows the exhibitor to present banner graphics from specified width and height. I hope the exhibition was able to showcase the investment readiness of cities outside Metro Manila and outsourcers have now chosen where to invest.

London has many interesting places to visit especially for those with an eye for arts and entertainment. You can go straight to the City of Westminster and find there the West End of London. The main theatre district of London is located in West End. If you appreciate architectural design, most of the privately owned theatres in “Theatreland” are built using Victorian or Edwardian design incorporating palatial neo-Classical, Victorian, or Romanesque facades and decorated with lavish interiors.

Watching a musical is one of the main tourist activities in West End. Les Misérables tops the longest running musical in the history of West End. West End also shows new hit musicals such as Billy Elliot, The Producers and Mary Poppins.

One of the famous streets in the City of Westminster is Piccadilly. This major street in London stretching from Hyde Park Corner to Piccadilly Circus is also the location of Royal Academy of Arts, among others. From Hyde Park Corner you can reach Hyde Park, one of the largest parks in central London and one of the Royal Parks of London noted for its Speakers’ Corner, an area where public speaking is allowed.
